January 10, 2026

The Pastor Search Committee (which is also the Advisory Board) met on Saturday, January 10. In addition to conducting Advisory Board business, they also finished the drafting of the description statements for each of the strategies. The committee will meet again on Saturday, January 17 to begin drafting the church profile, which will introduce WAPC to prospective pastoral candidates.

In summary, the Vision Frame is comprised of four elements: 1) Mission Statement - what WAPC does uniquely as a member of the body of Christ; 2) Core Values - why WAPC does its mission, the motivation and culture that defines WAPC; 3) Strategy - how WAPC advances its mission; and 4) Metrics - when WAPC is advancing its mission. The final element (Metrics) is something that is developed dynamically and over time and is not essential to developing a pastoral profile.

Mission Statement (What)

Building Lives, Shaping Futures

Strategy (How)

At WAPC the Gospel is the heart, connecting the joints, teaching the brain, gathering the hands, and serving the feet—together forming one body that builds lives and shapes futures for God’s glory.

The Gospel

The Gospel shares God’s love and truth in a way that transforms hearts, restores purpose, and equips us to live faithfully in ways that impact our families, communities, and future generations for God’s glory.

Connecting

Connecting cultivates a community where hearts are heard, trust is nurtured, and burdens are shared — walking alongside others in authentic, Christ-centered relationships.

Teaching

Teaching imparts transformative knowledge that leads to revelation, strengthens discipleship, inspires authentic worship, and equips believers to live with purpose, faithfulness, and Kingdom impact.

Gathering

Gathering unites believers in worship, fellowship, and ministry, inviting the Holy Spirit to move and prepare hearts for deeper transformation.

Serving

Serving guides believers to lead with love—give generously, live sacrificially, grow in Christlike character, and fully engage in God’s mission.

Core Values (Why)

Worship

We worship God with authenticity, sincerity, and freedom—expressing our love through enthusiastic praise. Whether through raised hands, singing, dancing, giving, or even running, our worship is a genuine response to His grace and a wholehearted offering to the Lord.

Discipleship

Discipleship is a lifelong journey of growth and development, strengthened through fellowship. We teach, mentor, and involve every believer in understanding and living God’s Word, so together we become faithful witnesses and mature followers of Christ.

Love

We believe love is the foundation of all we do. We walk in unity and love as one family, committed to support of and submission to one another as we serve, uplift, and sacrifice for our community—reflecting the heart of Christ and bringing glory to God.

Prayer

We believe in the power of radical prayer and fasting as a bold expression of faith—rooted in dependence on God. Through personal devotion and corporate intercession, we routinely seek His anointing, guidance, and transformation, trusting that as we humble ourselves, He moves, aligns our hearts with His will, and empowers us for His work.

Apostolic

Grounded in the apostolic foundation of the New Testament Church, we embrace truth and holiness, teaching God’s Word and nurturing fellowship as we live a lifestyle that reflects Christ—impacting our community and advancing His Kingdom with faithfulness and love.
