January 17-18, 2026

The Pastor Search Committee (which is also the Advisory Board) met on Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18. In addition to conducting Advisory Board business, they also finalized the Vision Frame (the Strategy section was extensively edited) and developed a framework and template for the WAPC Church Profile. Over the next five weeks (while Equipping Leaders’ Steven Beardsley is traveling) they will draft the church profile. The profile includes such things as Church History & Legacy, Congregational Snapshot, Ministries & Life of the Church, Leadership and Governance, Worship and Spiritual Culture, and a Letter to our Future Pastor. This along with the Pastor Profile and Application will complete the packet used for receiving applications for the pastorate of WAPC. The team will develop the Pastor Profile and Application once the Church Profile is complete. The team plans to share The Church Profile with the church at the Annual Business Meeting on Sunday, March 8 at 6 pm.

Mission Statement (What)

Building Lives, Shaping Futures

Strategy (How)

The Gospel

The Gospel transforms hearts, restores purpose, saves us, and equips us to impact our families, communities, and future generations for God’s glory.

Connecting

Connecting creates a community of openness and trust where burdens are shared as we walk alongside each other in authentic, Christ-centered relationships.

Teaching

Teaching imparts knowledge that leads to revelation, discipleship, inspires sincere worship, and equips us to live with purpose and faithfulness.

Gathering

Gathering together to worship, fellowship, and hear the Word, invites the Holy Spirit to operate and prepares our hearts for deeper transformation.

Serving

Serving gives everyone the opportunity to dedicate their gifts and talents to the Lord- giving generously, living sacrificially, becoming more like Christ, and fully engaging in His Kingdom

Core Values (Why)

Worship

We worship God with authenticity, sincerity, and freedom—expressing our love through enthusiastic praise. Whether through raised hands, singing, dancing, giving, or even running, our worship is a genuine response to His grace and a wholehearted offering to the Lord.

Discipleship

Discipleship is a lifelong journey of growth and development, strengthened through fellowship. We teach, mentor, and involve every believer in understanding and living God’s Word, so together we become faithful witnesses and mature followers of Christ.

Love

We believe love is the foundation of all we do. We walk in unity and love as one family, committed to support of and submission to one another as we serve, uplift, and sacrifice for our community—reflecting the heart of Christ and bringing glory to God.

Prayer

We believe in the power of radical prayer and fasting as a bold expression of faith—rooted in dependence on God. Through personal devotion and corporate intercession, we routinely seek His anointing, guidance, and transformation, trusting that as we humble ourselves, He moves, aligns our hearts with His will, and empowers us for His work.

Apostolic

Grounded in the apostolic foundation of the New Testament Church, we embrace truth and holiness, teaching God’s Word and nurturing fellowship as we live a lifestyle that reflects Christ—impacting our community and advancing His Kingdom with faithfulness and love.
