The Pastor Search Committee (which is also the Advisory Board) met on Sunday, November 30 for a shorter meeting.

In this afternoon session, they began a series of exercises designed to identify the strategy (how) WAPC carries out its mission statement: Building Lives, Shaping Futures. Several themes were identified through these exercises. On Saturday, December 6 they will meet again to do some more work and then refine and polish the strategy (how) WAPC achieves its mission. Once that is done, we will have the three necessary elements of the Vision Frame—the mission statement (what), the strategy (how), and the core values (why)—and will be able to begin constructing a pastoral profile.

Remember: While this work seems slow, it is essential to the process of properly presenting to prospective pastoral candidates who WAPC is and also to developing a pastoral profile of what WAPC is looking for in a pastor.
