This weekend was the annual planning weekend for WAPC, and it was a meaningful and productive time together. After finalizing the 2026 calendar with the ministry leaders, the Pastor Search Committee — which also serves as the Advisory Board — met to review the core values and begin prayerfully shaping a mission statement that captures what WAPC uniquely contributes as part of the body of Christ.

As the committee worked through that process, it quickly became clear that every version they tried simply restated what WAPC already believes and lives: Building Lives, Shaping Futures with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The committee felt a strong sense of confirmation that this statement continues to express, with clarity and conviction, what makes WAPC who it is and what it does within the larger body of Christ.

With that affirmation, we are grateful to say that the mission statement — what WAPC does uniquely — is complete. Over the coming weeks, the committee will continue to reflect and pray over the mission and core values as they prepare to develop the next piece: WAPC's strategy — how WAPC lives out its mission — when they meet again on Sunday, November 30.

Two of the three elements of the Vision Frame are now in place, and the 2026 calendar is finalized. It’s been a weekend filled with unity, purpose, and gratitude. Pastor Seth would have been deeply pleased with the spirit of integrity and honor that marked the time together.
